SU president, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Anwar Dezaye participates in the 2nd conference in the city of Skopje in Macedonia about education and coexistence. This conference is held once every two years in a different city and organised by a number of organisations in Turkey and Macedonia and Istanbul Medeniyet University.
In the conference, the lecturers at Turkish Department of SU presented a number of research projects. Similarly, SU president delivered a presentation about education and higher education in Kurdistan region and Iraq in which the university president elaborated on the strategies and the projects in both sectors.
It is worth mentioning that SU was the only Iraqi university among all the 20 universities invited to the conference. SU is seen to have an important role considering the interfaith, multi-religious, and multi-ethnic society in Kurdistan region.
At the end of the conference, SU presented a picture Erbil Citadel as a gift to the participants. Moreover, it was resolved that the next conference should be held in Erbil if the financial crisis in Kurdistan region is tackled.
