In his presidency office, Dr Ahmed Anwar Dezaye welcomed a delegation headed by Director of Education in Soran on 17 August 2016. In the meeting a request letter concerning founding a basic education college in Mergasur was put forward by the guest delegation. The same request has been made to the office of his highness Prime Minister of KRG. In return, the University president showed his complete support for their request reminding the delegation of the similar projects SU has carried out in the areas around Erbil. SU president also touched upon the requirements of establishing a new college among which he mentioned new premises for the departments, student and teacher accommodation. Most importantly, the college is required to have a sufficient budget so that they can offer contracts to new teaching staff.
