Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Dezaye, Universiy President, Prof. Dr. Hent Schel, Head of Mechanics Department at the University of Freiburg. Dean of Engineering College Dr. Safin Yassin and director of international and academic relations Prof. Dr.Mohammed Aziz were also present. In the meeting, the relation between the universities was discussed. Prof. Hent Schel explained the purpose of the visit that the German university is willing to maintain the MEGI project to develop the curriculum and laboratory of the Mechanics Engineering Department funded by DAAD from 2009.
In return, the university president expressed thanks to DAAD as they have supported Salahaddin University in different projects. In that meeting, they extended the project to 2016 -17. Also in the meeting establishing a higher diploma in the college of engineering for vocational purposes for the ministries of KRG was discussed. Dr. Abdulqadir Ali was also present at the meeting.
