In his office, SU president received Dr Leah Bergman, Director of International Language Center at Arkansas University in the USA. In the meeting, SU expressed his delight at the visit of the guest delegate and the partnership between both universities. Also, to promote education two topics were discussed. First, SU will send 6 teachers from College of Finance and Administration to Arkansas University to participate in a teaching methods course in English. Meanwhile, this course will start in summer and the tuition fees and additional costs will be covered by US Embassy in Baghdad. Also, there was a discussion about the Language Centre at SU. This is to promote the centre to a standard level. Later, a memorandum of understanding was signed between SU and the International Language Centre at Arkansas University.
