In his office, the president of Salahaddin University the assistant professor Dr. Ahmed Anwer Dezaye with the Vice President for Administration and Financial Affairs Dr. Muhammed Rasheed Mukhtar welcomed a delegation from the Consulate General of Jordan in the Kurdistan Region headed by the First Secretary of the Consulate Dr. Waleed Al-Qazzaz and Dr. Zahir Radad Al-Qirshi the Director of Marketing in Amman University in Jordan.

In the meeting and besides welcoming the delegation, the President of Salahaddin University expressed his gratitude for the positive cooperation between the Jordanian Consulate and Salahaddin University and getting benefits from the experiences of this country’s universities in establishing mutual scientific programmes. Also in the meeting, they discussed opening an accounting institute with the support of Jordanian universities in order to promote the vocational staff level in the Kurdistan region.

Also in the meeting, the First Secretary of the Jordanian Consulate in Erbil hoped that there will be cultural and academic cooperation between Jordanian universities and Salahaddin University by means of exchanging students and lecturers between the two parts. Dr. Waleed Al-Qazzaz mentioned that Jordanian universities are happy to welcome any applicants of Bachelor, Master or PhD with 50% discount compared to their own citizens, and provide all the facilities for the students via the airport. Later in the meeting, the Director of Marketing in Amman University revealed that their university is ready to arrange training courses for the staff of Salahaddin University through the most developed system in accounting and students affairs and also in general registry. In the end, they all agreed that they should sign an agreement between the two parts soon.
