In the presidency office, with the presence of vice-presidents of student affairs, and scientific and administrative affairs, Salahaddin University president welcomed Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi Al Edwan, Sercretary General of Association of Arab Universities. The association with its secretariat in Jordan comprises 300 members of Arab universities among which SU is one.
On the other hand, the purpose of the Secretary Genral’s was to investigate the request of membership from the universities of Suliamani, Politechnic, Human Development, Soran and other international universities in Erbil.
Also, they discussed the current affairs in the region including the threat of terrorism and the fight against it. The Secretary General extended thanks to SU for the heartfelt welcome. Moreover, he thanked the other universities to have sheltered the students who have fled from the middle of Iraq from the universities of Mosul, Tikrit and Anbar and have continued their studies in the Kurdistan Region.
