Dr. Ahmed Anwar Dezaye, the President of Salahaddin University, received Mr. Omer Fahmi, the Egyptian Consul General in Erbil. Salahaddin University President welcomed the delegation and congratulated the Consul General in his new post. He then talked briefly about higher education in the Kurdistan Region and the developments witnessed by Salahaddin University. In this context he talked about the stages of building the new university campus. The Egyptian Consul General expressed his satisfaction with political, economic, scientific and academic development achieved by the Kurdistan Region. The meeting participants also talked about relations between the Egyptian and Kurdistan universities. They also discussed solving student visa issues for students who study in Egypt. Finally they talked about the possible visit of the Egyptian Minister of Religious Endowment and the Grand Imam of al-Azhar to the Kurdistan Region, upon Salahaddin University‘s invitation.
