Dear respected member of the University Council,
Dear teachers, 
Dear students and graduands,
Dear families,

On the occasion of the graduation of another round of our university students, which amounts to 5170 students in all the colleges, we would like to express our delight as the university council and extend our warmest congratulations to the staff, teachers, students, the graduands and their families. We express hopes that the graduands will succeed in the upcoming stage of their life in their career in the private and public sectors to contribute to the development of our beloved Kurdistan. 
The academic year of 2020-2021 was a challenging year, in managing the learning process, administration and finances, due to the outbreak of Coronavirus mutation and the continuing financial crisis in KRI. However, the process has been successful with the support from his Excellency the KRG prime minister Masrur Barzani, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the effort of the University Council, administrative and academic staff and the persistence of the students. This year, compared to the previous years, despite all the challenges, over 1463 higher education students of higher diploma, masters and PhD continue studying at the University with great enthusiasm. This is a unique achievement and will be recorded in the history of the University.
Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE), as a leading university in Kurdistan Region and Iraq, during the academic year of 2020-2021, conducted a number of academic and cultural activities among which were conferences, workshops, seminars, webinars and publishing tens of academic articles and research in the local and world journals which have affected the ranking of the University in KRI and Iraq and the University has remained at the forefront.
Due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, we tried our best to maintain the learning process and academic programs. However, this year owing to the health and safety practices, we are not able to hold a ceremony on a grand scale similar to the previous years in Faranso Hariri Stadium in Erbil.  
Once again congratulations to the graduands, teachers KRG, the Ministry of Higher Education, and SUE University Council. May the University flourish and always remain at the forefront.
