The president of the University received a delegation from Hasan Kalyoncu University from Gaziantep headed by the university president, Professor Dr. Tamer Yilmaz and the director of International Students Affairs, Nurrullah Akbulut, with the presence of Head of the Erbil Governorate Council, Ali Rasheed Khoshnaw.

Fostering the academic partnership between Kurdish and Turkish universities was encouraged by both sides. It was also reiterated that in a near future both universities should sing an account of mutual understanding in order to offer places to MA and Ph.D. students, and to carry out joint projects to benefit from each other’s know-how. In the account, it was resolved, both Mevlana Exchange and Erasmus Mundus Program will be employed for that purpose, in which Salahaddin and Hasan Kalyoncu University are members.

Eventually, Salahaddin University President expressed goodwill and offered support from the university to maintain the partnership, and to carry out mutual projects. The president also referred to the new campus as the biggest scientific and academic project in the Kurdistan Region which can provide a brighter future for education. The university architecture and laboratories make a promising infrastructure for education available.
