A delegation from Salahaddin University headed by assistant professor Dr. Ahmed Anwer Dezaye the President of Salahaddin University accompanied by 16 university professors participated in the 5th scientific conference with the cooperation of Malaysian Technological University (UTM) and the Indonesian University Airlangga in Surabaya city of Indonesia. In the beginning of the conference, apart from expressing his deep thanks to the Indonesian university for hosting the conference, the President of Salahaddin University presented a seminar regarding developing the political, cultural, social and economic cases in the Kurdistan Region.

Then he shed light on the state of higher education of Kurdistan universities. 80 researches have been accepted in the conference.

12 researches from Salahaddin University in the fields of chemistry, biology, mathematics and physics. The conference has been organized by the Indonesian university of Airlangga. It has been decided to be arranged in Kurdistan Region in 2017 hosted by Salahaddin University. A scientific cooperation agreement has been signed between Salahaddin University and the Indonesian university of Airlangga similar to the PhD split site agreement which has been signed with the Malaysian Technology University.

In the end of the conference, the President of Salahaddin University presented the university gift to the presidents of Malaysian and Indonesian universities, the president of the conference and the main researchers of the conference, which was a photo of Erbil City Citadel and the university logo.
