At 10 a.m. on Monday 16th Nov. 2015 in Salahaddin University’s Social and Culture Centre with the presence of the president of Salahaddin University of Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Anwer Dezaye and the presidents of polytechnic universities of Erbil, Koya, Kirkuk and Jihan, a conference has been arranged to develop the cooperation between Engineering Department of Salahaddin University and Engineering Department of Erbil Polytechnic University with German University of TU Bergakademie Freiberg.

It is worth mentioning that the conference will last for two days. On the first day, speeches will be read; workshops and activities will be organized, whereas on the second day, researches will be presented on master degree level, 4 researches of Salahaddin University lecturers, 4 researches of Erbil Polytechnic University lecturers and 4 researches of TU Bergakademie Freiberg University lecturers.

At the beginning of the conference, Dr. Ahmed Anwer Dizayee presented a speech regarding the conference and mentioned the relations between the two universities. He also expressed his wishes to more work with the other Kurdistan universities; an agreement has been signed between TU Bergakademie Freiberg University and Polytechnic University of Erbil, Koya and Kirkuk.

On the other hand, Salahaddin University in 2009 signed an agreement with TU Bergakademie Freiberg University in training, building labs, exchanging lecturers, doing the training courses and supervising post graduate students. What is more the project from the start to this point has been supported financially by the German Organization DAAD.
