Salahaddin University–Erbil (SUE) will host a symposium entitled “The Impact of Media on Social and Psychological Security in the Kurdistan Region.”

This symposium forms part of a proposed project aimed at regulating and organising media practice in the Kurdistan Region.

The event is organised through coordination between SUE, the Cultural and Academic Centre, and the International Peshmerga Agency. Academics and specialists from the Colleges of Arts and Education will participate, alongside relevant experts from outside the University. The symposium places particular emphasis on professional standards and quality assurance.

The symposium will take place on Tuesday, 13 January 2026, at 10:30 a.m., in Kochar Birkari Hall at the Cultural and Academic Centre, Salahaddin University–Erbil.
