In a joint project, SUE and Ishik University arranged the 8th VESAL (The International Visible Conference on Educational Studies & Applied Linguistics). In the conference Ministry of Education Dr Pishtiwan Sadiq, the representative of Ministry of Higher Education, Director of 2nd Branch of KDP Ahmed Kani and a large number of university instructors were present.

In the beginning of the conference, Dr Ahmed Ozach delivered a speech about developing education process. Following that, the Vice-President of SUE Dr Mostafa shed light on the importance of the academic conferences on the development of the society and education. Then the minister of higher education expressed thanks to both universities; he declared that the Ministry of Education views the findings in the conference as valuable.

It is worth mentioning that in the conference number of research projects were presented by the teachers and researchers from a number of universities.
