In the presence of Dr. Ahmed Anwer Dizayee “the president of salahaddin university”, a number of activities have been organized in the colleges of salahaddin university in the 117th anniversary of Kurdish journalism in the college of education, cultural session, Kurdish Department on this occasion, during this, the dean of college of education and the head of Kurdish department presented their speeches. They stressed on continuing their hard work and invention on different aspects literary, technical, science and information as a respect for this occasion.

After that an exhibition has been organized posters for the 1st year students for scientific debate subject. Among their posters, they presented many information and symbols about Kurdish journalism’s day. During the cultural session, professor Kurdistan Mukeryani has presented a seminar under the name of Hataw Journal to improve Kurdish language. In another seminar, poet Muhsin Awari has recited a poem for few minutes, on the top of these, professor Himdad Hussein has presented another seminar under the name of Mahabad Journalism during republic of Kurdistan era. On this occasion, Mr. Majeed Khoshnaw has played some music pieces. After that Dr. Salar Osman presented a seminar under the title “Language is a factor or an objective”. On the other hand, in the media department, college of arts- salahaddin university, a number of activities carried out by students for example, issuing a number of departmental journalisms in the participation of their lecturers, that was in addition to opening an exhibition by student Saleel Esam in which they coloured the college pathway by different plastic tableaus. These tableaus showed the beauty and nature of Kurdistan. At the end a documentary film was shown by the students which was organized in the hall of college of arts. Also at the college of languages-salahaddin university. They arranged an exhibition for photographic pictures of freedom shout which was organized by two students Akam Shwani and Mahdi Khalidi whom they took the photographic pictures using mobile phones. In this exhibition they showed more than 100 pictures which were reflecting the life and culture in Kurdish community as well as the nature o Kurdistan.
