Attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in KRG, university presidents in Kurdistan region and Dr Ahmed Dezaye SUE president, a workshop on the process of national ranking of Kurdistan universities went underway in the Social and Cultural Centre of SUE.  

After paying tribute to the Peshmarga martyrs, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research delivered a speech in which he highlighted the importance of the ranking process, particularly in developing the national universities. 

Later the organisers of the workshop and university presidents explained and debated the mechanism of the ranking process. Among which, SUE president Dr Ahmed Dezaye delivered a presentation in which he deemed it necessary that the criteria of the ranking should be explained and a committee should issue the instructions, and do the follow-up so that KRG universities are familiarised with the process.
