The Directorate of Continuing Education opened the 16th training under the slogan (Exemplary Teacher is the guarantor of an informed generation that protects Kurdistan).

At the beginning of the ceremony Dr. Ahmed Anwar Dezaye, the President of Salahaddin University, made a speech congratulating the participants in their attempt to become effective teachers and learn means and methods of effective transmition of information; so that at the hand of such teachers an informed and highly educated generation will be raised. The President also said that participation in itself does not confer scientific title because after satisfactory completion participants will be examined by the scientific title committee. Dr. Pshtiwan Sadiq, the KRG Minister of Education, commended Salahaddin University and informed the participants that the MoE has submitted a project proposal to the Council of Ministers to give the MoE power to grant scientific title.

He added that effective teachers inside the classroom are just like those who fight in the barracks to protect Kurdistan from the Islamic State (ISIS) threat.

It is worth mentioning that the training will be for six weeks and delivered by a number of experienced university lecturers in various areas. The participants will be trained to be successful teachers. After their successful completion of the training they will get certificate of participation.
