A delegation from the SPARK organization office in Erbil, accompanied by representatives from the European Commission, paid an official visit to Salahaddin University on May 8, 2015. The visiting group was warmly received by the University's President, Dr. Kamaran, along with Vice Presidents Dr. Sharif and Dr. Husain, and Dr. Awara, Director of International Relations.
At the start of the meeting, Dr. Kamaran expressed his deep gratitude to SPARK and the European Union delegation for their ongoing support, particularly for their role in providing substantial assistance to Salahaddin University students over the last 4 years. He voiced hope that the productive partnership would continue to grow, highlighting the positive impact it has had on the academic journey of the beneficiary students.
From the visiting delegation's side, the main objective of the visit was to assess the outcomes of the scholarship programs supported by the European Union and implemented in collaboration with SPARK. The delegation emphasised their interest in understanding how their projects have influenced the academic journeys of beneficiary students and were eager to gather feedback and suggestions from the university leadership to shape future collaborations.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties affirming their commitment to enhancing cooperation and exploring new ways to address the necessary needs of the current and graduated students at Salahaddin University in Erbil.
