On Thursday July 13rd, 2017 at 10:00AM the president of Salahaddin-Erbil assistant professor Dr. Ahmed Anwar Dezaye received Mr. Chen Lai Ping Vice Consul General and Mr. Zhu Chuhan Consular Attaché of People’s republic of China-Erbil
The president of SU conducted a meeting with the guests and talks were held on academic and scientific cooperation between Salahaddin University and Chinese Universities on fields of interest to both sides. During the meeting both sides agreed to start cooperating on the following issues
Slahaddin University requests China consulate to open a Chinese language learning course [Confucius institute/Classroom] at Salahaddin University-Erbil for students, academic staff and all public interested in Chinese language.
Salahaddin University invites some Chinese Universities to visit Salahaddin University in particular and Kurdistan Region in general and holds their university exhibition at SU to introduce their academic activities to Kurdish students and university academic staff in order to peruse their higher education and research at fast growing Chinese universities. Lastly, Salahaddin University requests China General Consulate at Erbil to help Salahaddin University to renew, improve, upgrade and develop the experimental laboratories of SU in the fields of Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Computer and Software Engineering and providing automatic weather station for conducting research and study the climate change in the region.
It is worth to mention that the guest’s reaction to the SU requests was positive and the president of SU greatly acknowledged it.
