Dr. Ahmed Anwar Dezaye, the President of Salahaddin University, participated in the annual meeting of the Visegrad University Association (UVA) in Budapest, Hungary. This year\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s theme focuses on colleges of agriculture, administration and economics. It is worth mentioning that Salahaddin University is the only university in the Middle East that has membership in the VUA and has benefited greatly from its programmes, particularly in relation to sending postgraduate students to the member universities of the VUA.
During the conference Salahaddin University President met with the President of Corvinus University of Budapest, which hosts the annual meeting. They discussed joint relations and academic exchange activities. They also discussed signing an agreement to conduct various academic activities, such as sending students and teachers to universities in Hungary.
The University President also met with the Dean of Humanities in Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, a delegation from this university is planned to visit the Kurdistan Region to sign an agreement with Salahaddin University on various fields related to archeology.
It is worth mentioning that in the last few years Salahaddin University has opened its doors to international universities and strengthened its academic relations with universities in Europe and Arab counties. As the oldest university in Kurdistan, Salahaddin University is now member of many university associations and unions in Europe, Asia and Arab counties.
