Salahaddin University is actively engaged in capacity building for its lecturers, staff, and students. As part of its commitment to academic excellence and professional development, the university has organized several training programs in collaboration with international and regional partners, including the American Consulate, Kurdistan Foundation, Forsa Organization, and the University of Texas, USA.
Ongoing and Upcoming Trainings
1. Learning and Using AI in Education and Research (Undergraduate Students)
This 6-week online course is designed for undergraduate students and focuses on the application of artificial intelligence in education and research. The instructor is selected by the American Consulate. Upon successful completion, participants will receive an internationally recognized certificate.
2. Computing (Software and Hardware) Training
Conducted by the IT Directorate Office at Salahaddin University, this in-person course spans 6 weeks and covers key concepts and practical skills in both software and hardware systems.
3. AI Impact in Education and Research (Lecturers)
Organized by the American Consulate, this 6-week online course—delivered in English—is tailored for university lecturers. It explores the transformative impact of artificial intelligence in higher education and academic research. The instructor is appointed by the American Consulate.
4. Using AI in Education and Research (Lecturers)
Run by the Kurdistan Foundation, this in-person training is designed for lecturers who will be teaching AI-related subjects in the upcoming academic year. The course includes approximately 12 hours of instruction and focuses on practical applications of AI in teaching and research.
5. Agricultural Sustainability and Water Resource Management
This training is intended for undergraduate students and is jointly organized by Salahaddin University, the University of Texas (USA), and the Forsa Organization. It aims to enhance students' understanding of sustainable agricultural practices and effective water resource management.
In addition to local initiatives, Salahaddin University continuously supports its academic staff in attending advanced training programs abroad. These international engagements span various disciplines and play a key role in strengthening academic standards and global collaboration across the university.
