
Assistant professor Dr. Ahmed Anwer Dezaye “the president of Salahaddin University” has welcomed a delegation of the World Bank which consisted of Dr. Tomomy Myajema “director of the middle east office of the World Bank”, Dr. Ali El-Anbori “consultant of the World Bank in Baghdad” and Hana El-Ghali “representative of the cooperated programs and a lecturer in the American university in Beirut.
The reason behind visiting Kurdistan is to meet with the president of Salahaddin University and the minister of higher education and scientific research and performing a seminar in the ministry regarding evaluation of the process of directing administration of the universities and the organizations of the World Bank as in 2012, the evaluation of 16 Iraqi universities has been performed in which Salahaddin University, Sulamania, Zakho, Nawroz and Kurdistan university were in the list. Kurdistan universities in general and Salahaddin University were the best of the universities in administration.
The World Bank in its second round wants to evaluate more than 100 Iraqi and Kurdistan universities. The president of Salahaddin University warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed his deep thanks to the World Bank for payinf interest to Kurdistan programs especially the participation of Salahaddin University in all activities, he also expressed their readiness to offer any support to the World Bank in performing any activity in Kurdistan. On their side, the delegation expressed their deep thanks to Salahaddin University for participating in the activities, performing evaluation regarding Salahaddin University in administration and wished that in the second round Salahaddin University will be the best according to the activities. At the end of the meeting, the gift of Salahaddin University has been dedicated to the mentioned delegation.
