Upon the recommendation of Prof. Dr Kamaran Younis M. Amin, President of Salahaddin University-Erbil, and in the presence of Prof. Dr Hussein Saadi, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Dr Sharif Mulood Sharif, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, and Prof. Dr Ahmed Kocher, Acting Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, a group of academic staff and students will travel to Türkiye to participate in an international competition.
The President of the University expressed his support and delight and wished the participants every success in the competition.
The event is organised by the Governorate of Erzurum and Ataturk University and will last for one week, from 21 to 26 June 2026.
The competition aims to provide university students from local and international institutions with an opportunity to test their physical and mental abilities, strengthen their spirit of teamwork, and gain valuable practical experience.
Another objective is to enhance cooperation and international relations among universities, with nearly 20 universities from six different countries taking part.
It is noteworthy that Salahaddin University-Erbil is the only university from the Kurdistan Region participating in this competition.
The competition will feature challenges that require participants to overcome natural obstacles through activities such as rock climbing, mountain biking, and trail running
