SU president and International Universities Council
On 21 April 2018, Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE) hosted the Annual Meeting of the International Universities Council in the Social and Cultural Centre of the University.
Every year, a university hosts the meeting of a number of international universities which include universities from Turkey, Cyprus, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region.
In the beginning, SUE president Ahmed Dezaye stated, “We are proud [as Salahaddin University] to have hosted the event. Through this, we aim to develop our academic relations. Therefore, today we have been able to foster our relations through the Consul General of Turkey.”
Also in the meeting, Orhan Hikmet Aziz Oglu President of the International Universities Council said, “We will take initiatives to develop higher education in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. We will consolidate the historical relations which have developed so far.”
Mr Hakan Karacay Consul General of Turkey accompanied by a delegation also attended the meeting.
