In the university presidency office, assistant professor Dr. Ahmed Anwer Dizayee the President of Salahaddin University with the presence of Dr. Muhammed Rasheed Mukhtar Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Head of French Language Department in the College of Languages, welcomed Dr. Harchy Sayozan Director of AUF (Francophone University Association).
In the meeting, they discussed scientific and academic relations between Salahaddin University and AUF in which Salahaddin University is a member. Also in the meeting, they mentioned sending lecturers and students of French Language Department in Salahaddin University to Francophone countries especially the French University of Artois.
Also in the meeting, they shed light on encouraging mutual undertakings, among them employing the graduates in the private sector and opening training workshops in the translation field of French language. In another part of the meeting, the director of AUF expressed willingness to provide an academic staff for opening master’s degree in French Language Department at Salahaddin University. The President of Salahaddin University expressed his appreciation for improving the AUF and fostering the relations between French universities and Kurdistan universities and the role of the esteemed universities of these countries. It is also worth mentioning that AUF is internationally renowned of French language and supporting the universities which are members in the AUF to improve the field of higher education.
