In the presidency office, the President of Salahaddin University the assistant professor Dr. Ahmed Anwer Dezaye received the Hungarian General Consul Jabba Vazakeni and Zagros Rebaz the Director of General Relations.
Head of Archaeology Department in the College of Arts and Director of International and Academic Relations Dr. Muhammed Aziz were among the partakers.
In the meeting, strengthening the relationships between Salahaddin University and Hungary universities was highlighted so that Salahaddin University is able to establish an academic and scientific link to broaden and draw on the experience of the Hugarian universities.
Also they discussed the inauguration of a Hungarian corner similar to the German and American corner in the Main Library of Salahaddin University. Furthermore, they mentioned the visit of two Hungarian universities to Salahaddin University on October 10, 2015 in order to foster academic and scientific relations in the archaeology field.
The Hungarian General Consul also added that the Hungarian Consulate intends to hold Hungary National Day festival in the Social and Culture Centre of Salahaddin University in which they will invite a great number of famous officials in Iraq and Kurdistan Region. Jabba Vazakeni asked the President of Salahaddin University to present a seminar in November regarding the Hungarian culture and the state of the refugees in Europe in general and in Hungary in particular. The University President expressed his wishes to strengthen scientific, academic and strategic relations between the two universities via the Hungarian Consulate. It is worth mentioning that Salahaddin University Council visited the Hungarian Consulate of late and expressed deep thanks to Hungary for supporting Kurds and the independent state of Kurdistan.
