With the presence of SUE president Dr. Ahmed Dezaye, Director of the French organization IFPO, and representatives of the Universities of Ishik, Mosul, Baghdad and Lebanese University in Tripoli, a workshop was arranged in the Engineering College of SUE for the preparation of mutual MA programs in the fields of engineering, archeological and cultural heritage.
Also, in the workshop, the UNESCO scholarships in the field of archaeology and threats on archaeology were announced. UNESCO with the participation of Louvre Museum presented some programs about protection of archaeological heritage. It is worth mentioning that UNESCO is one of the organizations which have a crucial role in providing the budget for the preservation of cultural heritage.
