With the presence of SUE president Dr Ahmed Dezaye, International Erbil University president Dr Mohammed Ihsan, Governor of Halabja and a number of university teachers in Kurdistan, the first international conference commemorating genocides was held in Budapest, Hungary.
The conference was arranged by SUE in association with Catholic University in Hungary which will last for three days in which a number of research studies about ethnic cleansing will be presented, in particular, the calamities that Kurds have suffered.
It is worth mentioning that a number of German, Polish, Bulgarian, Armenian and other universities participated in the conference.
SUE president requested that the next conference should be held in Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
