Dr. Ahmed Anwar Dezaye, the President of Salahaddin University, received Dr. Christian Holshoster, Head of the German DAAD organization and Ms. Nora Sina, Director of DAAD‘s Erbil office. In the meeting they discussed strengthening the relations between the University and DAAD and ways to reactivate DAAD‘s Erbil office, after the recent slowdown as the result of ISIS terrorists‘ attacks. They also talked about the provisions of the needs of the Department of German Language and offering scholarships to the top performing students of the Department by DAAD, to raise the necessary staff for the Department, particularly through universities of Leipzig in Germany and Ain Shams in Egypt. Finally they discussed mechanisms to strengthen relations between Salahaddin University and the German universities and academic institution.
