In the presidency office of the University, a delegation of the American University in Duhok was welcomed by assistant professor Dr Ahmed Anwar Dezaye . The delegation included the president of the American University Michael Mulnix and Dr Huner Isa a member of the university board.
The president of Salahaddin University congratulated the delegation on establishing the first university campus and expressed hopes that the university will contribute to academic and scientific progress in the region alongside the other universities.
He also added that thus the private sector can contribute to the process of higher education. As such opening private universities in Kurdistan would create a balance between the number of the applicants and undergraduate places offered at the universities in Kurdistan.
In return, the president of the American University of Kurdistan expressed his happiness to work in the higher education along with the other universities to help provide the new generation with the cutting-edge know-how. He also hoped that they could get benefit from the experience of Salahaddin University and they could together embark on mutual academic initiatives and contribute to each other’s progress.
