Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Anwer Dezaye the president of Salahaddin University welcomed a delegation of Chinese General Consulate in Erbil headed by Jin Fang Ning Deputy of General Consulate and Ho Hay Economic and Industrial Consul. In the meeting and after welcoming the delegation, the President of Salahaddin University expressed willingness to introduce the consulate to the universities of Kurdistan, especially Salahaddin University. Also in the meeting, they discussed opening a course to teach Chinese, taking on those who are involved in industrial exchanges between Kurdistan Region and China.
In the meeting, they discussed arranging a number of exhibitions related to Chinese culture in basic education and higher education in Salahaddin University so that the Kurdish society would be familiar with Chinese culture. They also discussed exchanging lecturers and students between universities of China and Salahaddin University in order to strengthen the academic and scientific relations between the Kurdish society and the Chinese society.
The Deputy of General Consulate asked the president of Salahaddin University to hand them master dissertations and PhD theses in political sciences, Kurdistan history and Kurdish society and culture which have been written in English so that they can familiarize the Chinese society with culture, language, history and geography of Kurdistan.
