SUE President Dr Ahmed Dezaye In the Conference
Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE) held an annual conference in the Social and Cultural Centre of SUE to build capacity in higher education.
The conference was attended by the representative of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, President of SUE Dr Ahmed Dezaye, along with the consul generals of Germany, Czech Republic and the Netherlands, and EU ambassador in Iraq and a delegation of EU universities within Erasmus Plus Programme sponsored by EU.
SUE president, first, regarded these efforts as a necessary step to help develop the universities and foster academic cooperations between them.
The representative of the Ministry, as well as the honourable consuls, delivered their speeches in which they emphasised the importance of enhancing relations between the universities in the Kurdistan Region and EU universities.
It is worth mentioning that the Erasmus programme has been in process for three years in which a number of universities have participated from Kurdistan Region—allocated a million Euros by EU.
