Dr. Ahmed Anwar Dezaye, the President of Salahaddin University, received a Delegation from the KDP\\\'s Erbil Leadership Council headed by Mr. Kakamin Najar and included a number of KDP leaders in Erbil governorate. The University President thanked the KDP\\\'s Erbil Leadership Council for their continuous support to Salahaddin University. Mr. Najar congratulated the University\\\'s students and staff on the occasion of the commencement of the new academic year and hoped that they will enjoy a successful academic year. Later the Head of the KDP\\\'s Erbil Leadership Council met with the Salahaddin University Council and discussed the current political and economic situation in Iraq and Kurdistan. He added that we are currently faced with an unwanted war with terrorists and many displaced people are taking refuge in Kurdistan from other parts of Iraq and from Western Kurdistan including many students. Mr. Najar also emphasized the importance of the establishment of research centers in the universities that can contribute to scientific research and offer consultation to the political leadership to develop a strong plan for the future Kurdish state. Salahaddin University President highlighted the most urgent needs of the University as the result of the current economic crisis that has great negative impact on the academic and administrative aspects of the University. The delegation promised to communicate these requests to the government to solve these problems.
