On the 3rd of March 2015, in a public ceremony, Salahaddin University will award Honorary Doctorate to (Professor Dr. Mustafa Ibrahim Muhammad Amin Zalmi), the Kurdish academic and thinker in law and Islamic Shariaah, for his contribution to the legal thought in Kurdistan, Iraq, the Middle East and the Islamic world. This is the second honorary doctorate to be awarded by Salahaddin University. In 2014 the first honorary doctorate was awarded to the great Turkish thinker and friend of the Kurds, Ismail beşikçi.
