In the presence of Dr. Ahmed Dezaye, the President of Salahaddin University, the Department of Mechanical Engineering in Salahaddin University in cooperation with the Department of Mechanics in the German Freiberg University, under the TABADUL Programme supervised by the German DAAD organization, organized a conference titled (Partnership in Progress) in Salahaddin Universitys College of Engineering. The seminar was attended by the German Deputy Consul General in Kurdistan, President of Cihan University and a number of teachers from Kurdistani and Iraqi universities. In his speech, the University President, expressed his satisfaction with this scientific conference and said that the conference is an important scientific step towards the development of scientific movement in Salahaddin University. He added that this conference is the fruit of exchange of knowledge between Salahaddin University and world universities, particularly the German universities. In addition he said that this conference can contribute to the scientific development of the operating companies in Kurdistan and transform world knowledge to Kurdistan. On the same day, the University President, opened two new scientific laboratories called (Analysis Lab and Temperature Lab) in the College of Engineering. The staff explained the operations of all the laboratories equipments for the guests. Finally the University President hoped that this scientific step assist teachers and students to produce more and scientifically utilize them for the benefit of the society.
