In the university`s social and cultural centre, with the presence of the representative of the Minister Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Amanj Saeed, the president of Salahaddin University Dr. Ahmed Anwer Dezaye, Dr. Harzani General Director of the General Directorate of Inspection and Quality Assurance, the deans of the colleges and the lecturers of Academic Debate and Critical Thinking subject of all the colleges, the director of Curriculum Development in Salahaddin University has arranged a workshop which will last for two days regarding updates in the curriculum of Academic Debate and Critical Thinking which is taught to the 1st year students.This year, benefitting from the experience of Appalachian State University in the USA, changes have been made in the programmes of teaching the subject which will start this year.
In the opening ceremony of the workshop, Dr.Ibrahim Hama Rash the Vice-President at Salahaddin University for Higher Education and Scientific Affairs gave a speech to the partakers. He shed light on the duties of the reviewing committee and how to get benefits from the universities of the developed countries so that the students of Salahaddin University can compete with them and reach the same level. After that, Dr Amanj Saeed gave his speech under the title of "the Ministry thanks Salahaddin University'', as it was the pioneer in doing all its duties and the ministerial programmes as the basis of other universities. He also expressed his deep congratulations to Salahaddin University as it was the pioneer in the national Kurdistan universities evaluation.
At the end, the president of Salahaddin University presented gifts to those lecturers who presented seminars in the two-day workshop.
