Workshops

Academic ranking systems utilize diverse quantitative and qualitative indicators—such as research impact, faculty expertise, and international collaboration—to provide a standardized assessment of higher education quality on a global scale. This workshop consists of two panels. The first panel, moderated by Dr. Khalid Maghdid Kanbi, focuses on Salahaddin University’s position in global rankings, strategies for institutional improvement, and the university’s roadmap for scientific advancement. The second panel, moderated by Dr. Media Jalal Majid, addresses the Interdisciplinary Science Rankings. This session emphasizes that in the contemporary academic landscape, collaborative research involving multiple investigators is highly valued. Furthermore, it aims to encourage faculty and researchers at Salahaddin University to achieve international standards, thereby enhancing the institution's global standing. Ultimately, the workshop seeks to unveil the university’s strategic plan for improving its local and international ranking, emphasizing that such progress is a collective endeavor rather than an individual task. It also serves to introduce faculty members to new strategies and guidelines regarding education, research, and academic activities.
