Professors and researchers from the Department of Earth Science and Petroleum at Salahaddin University’s College of Science participated in a training workshop titled “Environmental Governance and Plastic Pollution,” held from April 15 to 17. The workshop is organized by the German organization GIZ, in collaboration with the Environmental Protection and Improvement Board of the Kurdistan Regional Government. During the workshop, real data collected from various locations around Erbil was presented and discussed, leading to the proposal of several mechanisms aimed at mitigating the impacts of plastic pollution. Salahaddin University extends its sincere appreciation to GIZ for its continued cooperation and support.
