Under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr Musa Mohammed Khidr, Dean of the College of Arts, the Intellectual Committee of the College of Arts will organise a symposium entitled “Under the Banner of the National Flag”.
The symposium will feature Professor Dr Qadir Mohammed Hassan, who will discuss the Kurdish flag in terms of its history, symbolism, and identity. Professor Dr Ako Burhan Mohammed will present a paper highlighting key aspects of the historical development of the Kurdish flag, while Assistant Professor Dr Azad Abdulaziz Mohammed will address the relationship between the Kurdish flag and the Bedirkhan family. Mr Rêbaz Luqman Rashad will moderate the symposium.
The event will take place on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in Farhad Hall, College of Arts.
