The first panel of the symposium focuses on Kurdish folk songs, particularly the traditional genre of hairan, examining its structure, performance techniques, and thematic dimensions within Kurdish oral heritage.
The second panel explores the development of Kurdish folklore and its role in contemporary daily life. This symposium aims to deepen teachers’ and university students’ understanding of Kurdish folklore as a vital aspect of cultural identity and education. It highlights the importance of preserving oral traditions and encourages the integration of folkloric knowledge into teaching, research, and cultural engagement.
