Mail Yosemite Outlook 2011 Apple Mail 

Email Setup for Mail Yosemite

Add a new email account

1. Launch Apple Mail.
2. From the toolbar at the top, select “Mail” and then “Add Account…”.

Select “Add Other Mail Account..”

3. Select “Add Other Mail Account…” which is at the bottom of the available options presented on the screen.

3. Enter your name (which will appear in the \\\\\\\'From\\\\\\\' field when you send emails), email address and password, then click “Create”.

4 The following message will appear “Account must be manually configured” as shown below, click “Next”.

 

Incoming Mail Server Info

5. Ensure that the correct incoming server type is selected (IMAP or POP), then enter the relevant details as shown in the screen below and click "Next".

 

Verify Security Certificate for Incoming Server

6. You will now need to verify the security certificate for the incoming server by selecting “Connect”.

 

Outgoing Mail Server Info

7. Enter the outgoing mail server and enter your username and password, then click “Create”.

8. You will now need to verify the security certificate for the outgoing server by selecting “Connect”.

 

You have completed your account setup

9. Your Mac mail program should now be set up to send and receive mail.

Email Setup for Outlook 2011

Launch Outlook 2011

1. Launch Outlook 2010
2. Select Tools from the top menu bar and then Accounts...

 

Add an Account

3. Select the "E-mail Account" option.

4. Enter all the relevant details (Select ‘POP’ as the type) then select "Override default port" under the Outgoing server section to change your Outgoing servers port to "587".
5. Once all the specified fields have been entered select "Add Account"

 

Select More Options…

6. Select "More Options..." below your Outgoing server settings.

7. Under the "More Options..." button select "User Name and Password for "Authentication"
8. Enter in your username and password then select "OK"

 

You have completed your account setup

9. Your Outlook mail program should now be set up to send and receive mail.

Email Setup for Apple Mail

Add a new email account

1. Launch Apple Mail.
2. From the toolbar at the top, select File and then Add Account.

3. Enter your name (which will appear the "From" field in your emails), email address and password, then click Continue

 

Incoming Server Settings

4. Ensure that the incoming server type is selected as POP, then enter the relevant details as shown below and click Continue. Note : The Description field is optional (e.g. Work email or Home email).
5. Apple Mail will now test the connection to the specified mail server. Once this is complete, click Continue.

6. When the Incoming Mail Security screen appears, leave Use Secure Socket Layer unticked and click Continue.

Outgoing Server Settings

7. Enter the outgoing mail server and ensure that the Use Authentication checkbox is ticked.
8. Enter your username and password (if these fields are not automatically populated) then click Continue.

9. When the Outgoing Mail Security screen appears, leave Use Secure Socket Layer unticked and click Continue.

Account Summary

10. View the account summary and click Create. Ticking the Take my account online checkbox will ensure that your account is activated immediately.

11. Your Mac mail program should now be set up to send and receive mail.
