Master Thesis Discussion

On 17/12/2015, Thursday, Thursday, at Professor Abdulrahman Rahim Hall of the College, the dissertation discussion (Viva) of the postgraduate student (Amira Abdulrahman Ali) in Public Law entitled (Police Control in the Iraqi Penal Law) under the supervision of Professor Dr. Rizgar Mohammed Kadir was held. The Members of Dissertation Discussion Committee were Assistant Professor Dr. Wa’di Sleman Ali: head, Assistant Professor Dr. Nawzad Ahmad Yaseen: member, Assistant Professor Dr. Tavga Abbas Tawfiq: member, Professor Dr. Rizgar Mohammed Kadir: member and supervisor.

In the beginning, a short talk on the subject was given by the researcher where she explained the role of Police Control in the field of Criminal Law as the alternative of taking liberties penalties. In the Iraqi law, it is used as a supplementary penalty. She has discussed the subject matter in a very detailed way under Iraqi Law and has compared it to other countries’ legislation. At the end, she has concluded that the Iraqi Legislator has not been successful in laying down the articles of in this regard and there are shortfalls; therefore, she has come up with certain suggestions and solutions to this issue.After a three-hour discussion, she successfully discussed her dissertation. At the end, the degree of LLM Master of Laws in Public Law was granted to her the Committee.

 

Master Thesis Discussion

On 24/12/2015, Thursday, at Professor Abdulrahman Rahim Hall of the College, the dissertation discussion (viva) of the postgraduate student (Zina Mun’imMadhhar) in Private Law entitled (Construction Contract in return of a Portion of the Real-Estate) under the supervision of Asssitant Professor Dr. Ra’d Adham Abdulhameed was held. The Members of Dissertation Discussion Committee were Assistant Professor Dr. Ismat Abdulmajeed Bakir: head, Assistant Professor Dr. Kawan Ismael Ibrahim: member, Dr. Dhahr Majeed Qadir: member, Asssitant Professor Dr. Ra’d Adham: member and supervisor.

In the beginning, an overview of the subject was given by the researcher where she talked about the importance of this contract in the reconstruction projects; she also discussed the legal nature of this contract and its relation with the entrepreneurship contract. Then she talked about the shortfalls and the legal issues noticed in the Iraqi and Kurdistan Law. At the end she come up with certain points as the result of her dissertation and several suggestions were given.

After a three-hour discussion, she successfully discussed her dissertation. At the end, the degree of LLM Master of Laws in Private Law was granted to her the Committee.

 

Master Thesis Discussion


On 17/12/2015, Thursday, at Madraj Hall of the College, the dissertation discussion (viva) of the postgraduate student (Shahla Ali Ahmad) in Public Law entitled (the Legal System of the contract employees in Iraq) under the supervision of Asssitant Professor Dr. Sangar Dawood Mohammed was held. The Members of Dissertation Discussion Committee were Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulmalik Younis Mohammed: head, Assistant Professor Dr. Sarhang Hamid Salih: member, Assistant Professor Dr. Dana Abdulkarim Sa’ed: member, Asssitant Professor Dr. Sangar Dawood Mohammed: member and supervisor.

In the beginning, an overview of the subject was given by the researcher where she talked about the temporary or contract employees in the directorates of Iraq and Kurdistan Region and their legal position, the process of choosing such employees, rights and duties, their accountability and their retirement. She discussed the provisions govern this subject and also discussed the problems facing these employees. At the end she come up with certain points as the result of her dissertation and several suggestions were given.

After a very detailed discussion, she successfully discussed her dissertation. At the end, the degree of LLM Master of Laws in Public Law was granted to her the Committee.

 

Master Thesis Discussion

On 28/12/2015, Thursday, at Madraj Hall of the College, the dissertation discussion (viva) of the postgraduate student (Shanaz Mahmood Wali) in Public Law entitled (Settling the Criminal Issues through Mediation) under the supervision of Professor Dr. Rizgar Mohammed Kadir was held. The Members of Dissertation Discussion Committee were Professor Dr. Hussain Mohammed Balisany: head, Assistant Professor Dr. Ozden Hussain Rahman: member, Dr. Masoud Hamid Ismael: member, Professor Dr. Rizgar Mohammed Kadir: member and supervisor.

In the beginning, an overview of the subject was given by the researcher where she talked about the Mediation System as a means of settling criminal issues and reducing the overload/ burden on the courts of law; also she explained the way of organizing its principles in the laws of those states which have adopted such principles—the implementation of such approach for solving such issues in Iraq and Kurdistan and the way its principles are organized.

After a very detailed discussion, she successfully discussed her dissertation. At the end, the degree of LLM Master of Laws in Public Law was granted to her the Committee.

 

Master Thesis Discussion 

 On 19/12/2015, Thursday, at 09:00 a.m., at at Professor Abdulrahman Rahim Hall of the College, the dissertation discussion (viva) of the postgraduate student (Dilshad Hamid Darwish) entitled (The Legal Protection for Religious Minorities in the Light of Religious Extremism Growing) under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Muna Yuhana Yaqu was held.

The Members of Dissertation Discussion Committee were:

1.  Professor Dr. Kamal Sa’di Mustafa/ College of Law and Political Sciences/ Salahaddin-Erbil University.

2.  Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulfatah Abdulrazaq/ College of Law and Political Sciences/ Salahaddin-Erbil University.

4.  Assistant Professor Dr. Muna Yuhana/ College of Law and Political Sciences/ Salahaddin-Erbil University.

After a very detailed discussion, she successfully discussed her dissertation. At the end, the degree of LLM Master of Laws in Public Law was granted to her the Committee. Our College wishes all the best for the researcher and supervisor.

 

PhD Candidates take Higher Education Scientific Capacity Examination

On Monday (21/09/2015) at 09:00 a.m. higher education scientific capacity examination was taken by PhD candidates for the year of 2015-2016 at Prof. Abdulrahman Raheem Hall in the College of Law and Political Sciences. (27) students from both departments (law and political sciences) have taken the examination after being nominated and fulfilling all the conditions required for participation. From this number, according to the proposals, the seats have been dedicated as follow: (8) students to be specialized in public law (public international law, constitutional law and administrative law); (6) of them for private law (civil law); also, (13) of them for political sciences in the fields of (international relations, political thought and political system).
