A presentation on how to write a proposal to win HEP

On October 25,2016, at 11 AM, the director of curricula development at SU gave a presentation to some teachers of the College of Languages on how to write a proposal to win HEP small grant 2017 organised by IREX and funded by US Embassy in Baghdad.

  • Capacity building in faculty instructional strategies in a specific academic department
  • Review and update the curriculum for a specific degree program
  • University Administration
  • Industry Engagement
  • Collaborative research projects, particularly in STEM fields.
  • Capacity building in English language teaching and learning
  • Establishment of distance learning programs
  • Development of information systems to establish digital record keeping.
  • Modernization of libraries and publication resources
  • Development of career advisory services on campuses
  • Counseling and intervention services on campuses for victims of violence and other psychological distress
  • Initiatives to promote tolerance and peaceful activities on campuses
  • Activities to build youth-based approaches to countering violent extremism

  • The deadline for submission of proposals is Nov.17, 2016. The proposal is sent to this email: hep-iraq@irex.org

    Below are some of the areas that faculty of SU wrote their proposals to Higher Education Partnership Program organized by IREX and funded by US Embassy in IRAQ:

  • Review and update the curriculum for a specific degree program.
  • Counseling and intervention services on campuses for victims of violence and other psychological distress.
  • Initiatives to promote tolerance and peaceful activities on campuses; and others

    Presenting a Seminar  in January 15,2012 for Teachers of Academic Debate concerning the teaching of this subject and taking feedbacks to evaluate the course and the students.

     

    A Seminar for Representatives of Curriculum Development of Colleges of our University concerning the new methods of evaluating students which matches with the aims of curriculum development in February 2nd,2012.

    First year students from colleges of  Languages, Science, and physical Education presented a series of seminars for all teachers of Academic Debate of our University during the academic year 2011-2012.This step achieves one of the goals of Academic Debate Process.

     

    A seminar in June 6th,2012  concerning the curriculum Development  Process for Representatives and Coordinators of CD in Departments and Colleges  of our University.

     

    A series of seminars in February 6th2013, March 6th,2013, May 20,2013 for Representatives and Coordinators of curriculum development at Colleges of our University on assessing  students, team work, and teaching academic debate and critical thinking.

     

    A Seminar in May 6th 2015 for first year teachers of English concerning the ways to develop students’ level in English language and a summer Training Course for teachers at Glyndwr University.
